Two City Workers were fired on 10-13-05 for removing scrap metal from a demolition site after they were given permission from the site foreman to remove a $30.00 piece of pipe.

  • Did Kalb jump the gun in firing these two individuals before he had all the information?
  • Should an Administrative Leave been in order for Kalb to have done his job effectively?
  • Did Kalb make a comment to these two individuals that if it wasn’t for an election year he would do it differently but he couldn’t chance losing this election by not firing these two individuals (or in other words doing the right thing)?
  • Did Kalb make the comment to these two individuals not to worry that after the election, and he elected to office, that he would see these two individuals would get their job back?
