Linked Below is a video clip taken during the 6th Ward Report.  After hearing Mr. Mohr discuss during this 6th Ward Report the Spartan Stadium decision, by the Board of Education, to not purchase the stadium from the City of Portsmouth, I get the impression Mr. Mohr wants revenge on the citizens who questioned the sincerity of the deal.

12-11-06 Regular “Conference” Session an item was added to the discussion portion of the meeting, by President Howard Baughman, that Portsmouth City Schools are interested in purchasing, from the City, Spartan Stadium for $1.

Below is a copy, in pdf form, of the Tax Map, as recorded in the Scioto County Engineering Office.

On July 11, 1930, The City of Portsmouth transferred deed of property from the City to the Board of Education of the Portsmouth City School District, Scioto County, Ohio, said property commonly referred to as Spartan Stadium Practice field.  Below you will find a link describing said property and the agreement signed between the City and the Board of Education.

Below is a link, pdf format, dated July 1, 1925, by Simon LaBold, selling property for $1 to the City of Portsmouth south of the Norwood Addition, bounded on the north by William Street in said Norwood Addition, on the east by the lands of Mercy J. Roberts, on the south by the Ohio River, and the west by the lands of Nancy B. Horr, most commonly referred today as Spartan Stadium.

After reviewing the document I could find no stipulations or conditions placed on the property either for the use of or sell of said property by Simon LeBold.

On July 1, 1925, Simon LaBold signed transfer of deed for property, south of the Norwood Addition, bounded on the north by William Street in said Norwood Addition, on the east by the lands of Mercy J. Roberts, on the south by the Ohio River, and the west by the lands of Nancy B. Horr, to the City of Portsmouth, most commonly referred today as Spartan Stadium.  This property was deeded to the City of Portsmouth and recorded on May 13th, 2006, in the County Recorders Office.

After reviewing the recorded deed, see link below, I could find no stipulation or conditions documented on said property by Simon LaBold .
